Pennine GP Training site goes live
Pennine GP Training is what used to be known as a VTS scheme - dedicated to preparing doctors for General Practice. Their new website www.pennine-gp-training.co.uk has just gone live and is packed with information for budding GPs.
The scheme has been delivering GP training for over 15 years and now has 45 Registrars. The programme directors, Matt Smith, Arif Kazi and Roger Pool are supported by over 20 Trainers.
"It's a fantastic location," says Matt (who also developed the site). "We can offer a stunning rural setting, with easy access to cities like Leeds, Bradford and Manchester. The local villages look like TV locations - in fact Last of the Summer Wine and Heartbeat were filmed in the area. As to time out, there's everything from white water rafting to paragliding or pony trekking. And the pubs and bistros are legendary."
Pennine GP Training helps would-be GPs through every step of the way through their training - and manage to keep a sense of fun in the process.
