To create the Copyright symbol  ©  on a PC:

• hold down the Alt key while keying in the numerics 0169

Try it!

 

On a Mac:

• simply enter Option + C

 

To create a Trademark symbol ™ on a PC

• hold down the Alt key while keying in the numerics ₀₁₅₃

 

To create the Registered symbol ® on a PC:

• hold down the Alt key while typting in 0174

 

For audio copyright ℗

When copyrighting an audio piece of work, you need a phonogram symbol - a letter P inside a circle ℗. Type 2117 followed by Alt+X to insert the phono/sound copright symbol. Sadly, this only works with some applications - eg Word. I have yet to find a short cut that works universally (if you know one, do tell me). Creating it in Word and then copying into other applications 'sort of' works. That is what I have done here and it is hardly satisfactory.
